Well another Northside Festival has come and gone, leaving us with some new Jameson stained memories and local favorites. Personally, my number one new "discovery" of the fest was when I happened to catch New Jersey band Owel at Spike Hill on Saturday afternoon. In spite of it being a gorgeous day outside (read: NOT A MONSOON), I was more than happy to be inside the dark bar as the group's tightly played yet wonderfully airy music enveloped the crowd in delicious emoness.
Their eponymous debut, out in early April, has subsequently been added to heavy Spotify rotation and is actually perfect for a rainy day - and we have certainly had no shortage of those lately.
