I actually think the publicist for UK emerging artists Little Comets summed it up best in his recent email to me about the band's upcoming US tour jaunt:
"They’ll be bringing their beach-ready summer-jams to a venue near you in the middle of Fall, which is sure to be a perfect way to pretend that summer isn’t over."
Then again, I did just move to a place where it is perpetually Spring and Fall all at once, so "summer jams" in SF seem to be more of a 365 day a year kind of occurrence. And Little Comets August US album release Life is Elsewhere (outvia Dualtone) is full to the brim with all of the sun-shiny beachy brit pop goodness to make you feel like it's summer forever and a day.
Check out the video for one track of that record - "Jennifer" - below. Other personal favorites include "Bayonne" and "Little Opus" and make sure you go see them on their little US tour jaunt before they are back again next year in the inevitable Terminal 5 headlining position. It's almost as sure of a thing as good times in the summertime.
