MY DEAR DISCO

I have said it before and I will say it again, some great music comes out of Michigan. for example this band came to me on the recommendation of Ross from Tally Hall!

My Dear Disco are basically a completely fresh and electro-disco-tastic group who hail from the Ann Arbor music scene and have been making waves since the release of their Dancethink LP in 2007. Several of the tracks, including the one below, were mixed by the amazing Mark Saunders who also worked with my faves Shiny Toy Guns on their debut "We Are Pilots." The only downside is that, while they are awesomely innovative and cool, some of their songs are just loooong and tend to jump the shark a little bit after a while which could prove problematic for your dance floor attention span. No matter, though, that is what the radio edit and the remix were invented for, right?

My Dear Disco play December 10th at Mercury Lounge at 6:30.

My Dear Disco - White Lies

Speaking of remixes, Ross and I are going to be djing together at CAMP in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn on December 13th and he has some awesome DJ skills to show off so come down and get down with us.
