I finally managed to get a copy of the new Tegan and Sara album, and I'm still not really sure what to say about it so far but I certainly think it's a departure from their previous albums together.
There is something much less precious about the songs on The Con as the twins seem to be venturing into more mature and perhaps darker territory on this record. Perhaps this is because the girls wrote the album seperately while they were apart from each other resting after a long tour jaunt? It's okay, don't be glum, I get sad when my sister and I are apart too, and we don't spend nearly as much time together as Tegan and Sara I'm sure. The good news is that everyone's fave Canadian duo will be reuniting on an upcoming up tour so they will get to spend a lot of time together giving each other feel-good hugs - including TWO sold out NYC shows (Nora needs tickets).
Either way, you can be sure this will be all over Grey's Anatomy this fall as the music supervisor on that show is a hardcore T&S devotee.
