As Spin.com reported yesterday, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will self-release (woohoo!) their second full length album, Some Loud Thunder on January 30th, although you'll be able to buy it on their website as a buyable download a whole 15 days earlier. Gotta love this band for their DIY attitude alone.
The tracklisting looks like this:
1. Some Loud Thunder
2. Emily Jean Stock
3. Mama, Won't You Keep Them Castles in the Air and Burning
4. Love Song No. 7
5. Satan Said Dance
6. Upon Encountering the Crippled Elephant
7. Goodbye to Mother and the Cove
8. Arm and Hammer
9. Yankee Go home
10. Underwater (You and Me)
11. Five Easy Pieces
Personally, so far, I really love the piano intro on Love Song. It makes me feel quite bittersweet, if that makes sense. It sort of seems like it could be the sad theme music from one of those dark indie art house movies that Rachael likes so much.
